Veterans Day

The church office will be closed on Monday for Veterans Day.

That evening, all seniors, married or single, are invited to attend Young at Heart at 6:00 p.m. Amy Gonzalez and Phillip Underwood (with accompanist Nancy Beard), will perform a medley of patriotic music. (Dinner reservations are now closed for this event.)

On Saturday, Nov. 17 at 5:30 p.m., join a Women’s Together Group at Jim ‘N Nick’s Greystone. Life is about togetherness and fellowship. Come! For reservations, contact Kim Lessley.

Wednesday Night Dinner this week offers fun for the whole family. Pizza is on the menu plus tossed salad and fruit salad (for the kids). For dessert, you can build your own ice cream sundae! Dinner is served from 5:00 to 6:15 p.m. Please make your reservations by Monday at noon.

Asbury’s Active Adults are playing cards and line dancing from 1:0o to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13. Join in the fun!

Free Concert: The Warblers

Hear The Warblers (a men’s choral group comprised of Woodlawn High School alumni) on Sunday, Nov. 17 at 4:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. The guys will perform a medley of seasonal and secular music. There’s no cost to attend. All are invited; spread the word!

Keeping up with the latest social media trends and pitfalls can be a daunting task to most parents. On Sunday, Nov. 17 at 6:00 p.m., Social Media Consultant Courtney Simmons will help parents discern and develop best practices in guiding your kids and family through the social media culture.
