About Asbury Adult Ministry

Christianity is more than just knowledge. It's attitudes and motivations which are expressed in how we live our lives. Within this context, we hope that adults grow in their Biblical knowledge, love for others, and desire to reach out to those in need.

Greg Foust, Minister of Discipleship

The Lord called Greg Foust into ministry as a young boy but Greg says he was 25 before he truly “heard” God. “I tried to make a deal with Him about serving as a lay person, but God wanted me full time,” he says. “That decision made an eternal difference in my life.”

Greg was born and raised on the east side of Birmingham. He attended Birmingham-Southern College and obtained a Master of Arts in Christian Education and Music from Asbury Theological Seminary. He has served in the North Alabama Conference for 38 years and has served Asbury for 22 years. Presently, Greg coordinates intentional faith development at Asbury through adult education and pastoral care.

Greg has been married to his wife Cathy for 37 years. Together, they have three young adult daughters and two granddaughters. Greg loves baseball and Southeastern Conference sports, taking family trips, going to the movies, and taking walks.

Robyn White, Adult Ministry Assistant

On Robyn’s wall in her office you will find a painting by Hannah Crosby, titled “Always a Place for You”. The painting depicts a long table with many unique chairs circling the table and this is how Robyn views discipleship and her relationship with God. There is always room for everyone to sit at God’s table in fellowship and love. As the Adult Ministry assistant, Robyn is passionate about helping adults find their way to God’s table and feel connected at Asbury.

Robyn received her Bachelor of Science from Auburn University, majoring in Management Information Systems. After working in the IT industry for over 10 years, she took time off to be a stay-at-home mom and it was during this time that God called Robyn into ministry.  Robyn has her UM certification in Spiritual Formation and is currently pursing a certification in Spiritual Direction. She leads many Adult Ministry classes including Disciple Bible Study, Sunday School, and various Journey classes.

Robyn is married to Dan and they have two teenage boys, Carson and Miles. They have been members of Asbury for over 12 years.  Robyn loves spending time with her family, reading, traveling, and visiting new restaurants throughout Birmingham.
